Privacy policy

The short version: your data lives on your phone first. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it for anything except running the app for you. Camera photos are read inside your phone and never leave it.

What we collect

The app works without an account, and everything you enter is kept on your device. This is the data that may exist:

Your skin profile: the answers to the short quiz (skin type, sensitivity, what concerns you, your goal).
Your routine and products: the products you add and the order of their steps, along with any ingredients you record.
Your daily check-in: how your skin is, the ratings of what you notice, the day's factors, and the notes you write.
Your account (optional): your name and email address. If you register with a password we keep an encrypted copy of it that cannot be reversed; if you sign in with Google we keep only your name, your email address and your Google id — we never see your Google password and we ask for permission to nothing else in that account.

The camera and your photos

When you scan a product's barcode or photograph an ingredients list, the image is read inside your phone and then deleted. It is never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else's. The only thing that may leave the phone is the barcode number itself, so we can look the product up.

Why we collect it

To build and show your routine, and to warn you when two ingredients in it clash.
To spot patterns in your skin across the days and show them to you.
To keep a backup you can restore on another phone — which is the only part that needs an account.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not trade it, and we build no marketing profiles from it.

Who we share it with

Open Beauty Facts — an open product database. When you scan a barcode we send only the number, to look the product up, with nothing about you attached.
Google — only if you choose to sign in with a Google account, to confirm the account is yours.
Railway — the company that hosts our server and its database.

And nobody else. We use no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics.

Where it is kept, and for how long

As long as you have no account, your data is on your phone alone, and deleting the app erases it. If you do create an account, a copy is kept on our server for as long as that account exists.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, for a correction to it, or for your account and everything attached to it to be deleted. Write to us at saidamarzouk.ad@gmail.com and we will delete it within thirty days at the latest. To delete your phone's copy immediately: delete the app.

Children

Jouri is not aimed at anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If something material changes, we update this page and the date above it, and we tell account holders by email.
